The client’s sought to strip away the faux-log cabin paneling on the existing house down to its bones and transform the house into one with a more modern aesthetic. Large glass windows overlook the property’s forested landscape, and allows the occupants to watch the chickens and ducks roam freely around the small picturesque pond.

An expanded open porch at the front entry invites outdoor entertainment, while a rear porch pulls the occupant outside to enjoy relaxation in the backyard. This design approach ensures that the house prioritizes the occupant’s experience over mere aesthetics.

The original layout which features all the necessary amenities of a one bedroom one bathroom house has been gutted and transformed into a master suite with a private bathroom. An office at the front can be converted into an additional bedroom should the need arise, offering flexibility for the client’s evolving needs.

The heart of the project is in the new addition, which features a spacious kitchen, boasting a large refrigerator, double oven and ample counter space.
